Dahi

Dahi (curd) is an auspicious and sacred offering used in many Hindu puja rituals. It symbolizes prosperity, purity, and nourishment and is considered a sattvic food that brings balance and positivity. In puja, dahi is often offered to deities and also used in Abhishek, especially as a part of Panchamrit.

Spiritually, dahi represents coolness, stability, and abundance. It is believed to calm negative energies and promote peace of mind. Offering dahi in puja signifies a prayer for good health, success, and harmony in life. In some traditions, dahi mixed with rice or sugar is offered before beginning any auspicious work, as it is considered a sign of shubh aarambh (auspicious beginning).
